Oh... how we love tradition! And Pismo Beach in the summertime... staying at SeaVenture Resort has become a Tweedy Family Tradition! So... in keeping with tradition... we spent 5 blissful days... and 4 relaxing nights... slowing down life a bit... and enjoying some very much needed time together as a family! This year... we kept it simple... beach... beach... and more beach! We ate dinner at the Apple Farm our first night... and then enjoyed dinner in our room the rest of the time. It was absolutely amazingly fun... and certainly... a lil' bit of Heaven on Earth!

Breakfast time again! Each morning the hotel delivers a free breakfast... muffins, bagels, rolls... egg dish... cereal... yogurt... juice... hot chocolate... and coffee. YUM!

I didn't catch it with my camera... but, right after this... Logan flipped over... and ate the sand... big-time! He was NOT a happy camper!

We decided to try a new beach... so... we headed towards Avila Beach. We thought we found the perfect lil' beach area... small waves... pretty sand... surrounded by rocks... oh, so perfect! Well, at least we thought! We unloaded the car... set up the umbrellas... sat down in our chairs... and began to notice DOGS! DOGS! and more DOGS! Oh, no big deal... we thought... until "Daisy" from "next door"... came over and went to the bathroom on our umbrella pole! The owner came over and tried to make right... brushing the sand a little with her foot where her dog went to the bathroom... right where our children were digging in the sand. Uhm... excuse me... gross! "It won't hurt them!" she said. No... it probably wouldn't... but, I am certainly not going to sit there and watch my children play in dog pee! So... we picked up our "camp"... and moved over on the beach 50 feet or so... and settled back in. I no longer sat in my chair... and sure enough... some other very large dog... came running over... stomping right over Lorielle and Logan... and lifts its leg! Seriously! Are you kidding me! Enough already! Yuck!
Of course, when it was time to go... we were all sad to say "good-bye"... but we were certainly blessed with love, laughter, and so many fun - special memories... to cherish in our hearts... until next summer!
