Yesterday morning at school... Logan made a new friend! Lorielle's friend Analeise has a lil' brother named Robbie who is 4 years old. Logan and Robbie see each other every morning... they both watch to see what the other one is doing (picking up rocks and being told to put them down... stepping in the mud and being asked to find their way back to the concrete... picking up sticks and being told to leave them on the ground... yes, total boys... and very much alike!) ... But, they never talk to one another... until yesterday that is! Robbie came to school with a "Big Thomas" (as Logan calls the trains that go on the plastic track). Logan couldn't keep his eyes off of Robbie... or the train. Robbie came over to Logan and gave him "Big Thomas" "to keep" he said. Even though Logan has "Big Thomas" at home... this made Logan's day (actually his week!). The two of them began talking... and it was the cutest ever! They went from talking about Thomas... to Logan's Toy Story hat... to playing in the dirt! On and on they went... in their very own lil' world. They both had the cutest lil' grins on their faces!
When we came home... I told Logan it would be very nice to share one of his toys with Robbie. I told him to go into his room... and pick out something he would like to share. I sat in the loft and waited. His first pick was a microphone from a Happy Meal. He was quite proud of his choice... and even mentioned that it would be okay because he had two! Uhm... not quite what Mommy had in mind. His second choice was a car that was missing tires. Again, quite content with this new pick as he was sure Robbie had extra tires at home. Uhm... no Buddy... not that either. But, then his little heart began to understand what sharing truly meant... and he was ready to part with many of his special toys to make Robbie's day happy.
And... he decided on his favorite red Hummer. Good job Buddy! Robbie is going to love it!
And with Big Thomas in tow... we headed to school to share with Robbie.
