It All Comes Back To Jesus!
God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent His one and only Son into the world so that we might live through Him. 1 John 4:9
Eagle Ridge Church ~ Vacation Bible School 2009
Lorielle looks forward to VBS each summer! But this year... it was a bit different in our family... we were ALL excited... because all FOUR of us were involved! Lorielle's third summer... first for Logan... Mommy was teaching... and Daddy was providing security. Even Grandma and Grandpa helped this year! It was an amazing week... oh, lots of work and preparation... but, rewarding in so many ways... and to see Jesus alive in the hearts of 78 children was incredible!Excited? Ohhhh you bet!
We are going to VBS! VBS here we come!
Headed to the "Australian Outback" for the first night!
The Preschool Classroom (where my mom, Ms. Ann, and myself taught 17-21 little ones).
We spent the Saturday prior to VBS decorating our room.
Ayers Rock
Each night we would begin with prayer, songs, penny offering, and a movie. We would then spend 35 minutes in our classroom teaching... next we would rotate to snack and recreation, music, and then crafts and then back to our room for 20 minutes of more teaching. Whew... I was exhausted as my head hit the pillow each night.
My lil' VBS'er ... Logan was the youngest in my class... and was definitely attracted to the more "active" little boys in our room. I learned a few names very quickly.
My lil' Kidaroo!
My big Kidaroo!
Cooking our fish.
HHHmmm... how difficult would it be for me to escape?
Snack time... the only time there wasn't much talking or running around!
MMM'mmm Kidaroo Cupcakes!
Lorielle was in the First/Second Grade Class and had a blast with Ms. Julie, Ms. Carol, and Ms. Lynne. She was also the only one in her class that learned her unit Bible verse as well as her daily Bible verses. Way to go Lorielle! You make us so very proud!
Craft time!
Oh Logan! You silly guy... getting tackled by a girl! (Actually he was only being polite and didn't want to show her his strength and toughness!)
Makayla and Logan having fun... or... was it stirring up trouble?!?!
During music time... Logan thought he would practice his jumping skills off the steps. Amazingly... even though I thought he wasn't paying attention... he knows the words and hand movements to the songs.
Logan and Sommer discussing where they will take their first trip on The Boomerang Express.
2009 Eagle Ridge Church Vacation Bible School (minus Logan... he escaped at the last moment).
Lorielle held the Bible for the pledge during the Friday night program.
Lorielle and Mackenzie.
Penny Offering! Girls won again! Third year in a row! Yeah!
Friday night program.
Somehow... I ended up being the only teacher on stage... maybe because my class seemed to like the steps on the stage a little too much!
Logan decided he would rather hang out with Papa during the program. My dad took him for a walk and they found a litter of lab puppies. One little pup and Logan became fast friends. My dad told me that the puppy sat on Logan's shoe and wouldn't move... even followed him back to church. Maybe one day Logan...
Our lil' performer.
What an amazing week... oh, so tired... but, already can't wait until next year! Wanna join us?
