Each night before bed, Daddy and Lorielle read a nightly devotion. They are currently reading from a book called "Devotions for Girls - God and Me!". It is a great book and Lorielle really enjoys each lesson. The topic a few nights ago was "Selfishness" which included a recipe for pancakes to share. The next morning, Lorielle and Daddy made Logan and I some very delicious spice pancakes! MMM'mmm...

Thank you Lorielle... they were absolutely yummy!
"Spice Pancakes"
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 cup milk
4 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
6 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
1 cup applesauce
pinch of ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Mix all ingredients together. Use a paper towel dipped in vegetable oil to coat the bottom of a large skillet. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Flip the pancakes when first side begins to look bubbly. Serve hot.
No syrup needed... they are sweet all by themself. Yummmm!
