Happy 4th of July!
What a fun-filled weekend we had! Lorielle LOVES fireworks... so, we watched them 3 nights in a row!
Thursday evening the 4 of us enjoyed a small fireworks display at the Riverside National Cemetery to "kick off" our festive weekend.
Friday we headed to San Diego! A "tradition" in our family during the 4th of July holiday since I can remember, so of course we invited Grandma and Grandpa! We ate at our favorite spot... Anthony's! It was DELICIOUS! We enjoyed bread with their famous sun-dried tomato butter, shrimp cocktails, salad, and fish and chips. (Our favorite dish "lobsterettes" won't be in season until mid-summer... very soon, I hope!). We left the restaurant feeling like stuffed pigs... so, we walked down to the Midway for a little exercise. We came home... rested for an hour or so... and packed up for the festivities at the sports park in Temecula. It took a bit of convincing (on Lorielle's part) to get Grandma and Grandpa to go in the 102 degree weather... but, she promised them "tall trees and a cool breeze"... and with that... there wasn't any way Papa could say no to his Princess. And, as she promised... we found a cool spot in the shade... and we were set. We had "good times" while waiting for the fireworks to begin... and of course, the fireworks display was AWESOME! If we were feeling a little guilty for eating so much during lunch... no worries... after the fireworks we had to "hike" back to our car... and it was all up hill!

Waiting for our window seat at Anthony's... Lorielle doesn't miss an opportunity to dance... if there is music... she is a hopp'n!

The sun was just a little bit too bright for Mommy's patriotic kiddos!
Pssst... where are Mommy and Grandma? Sitting under the trees where it was nice and cool! It was even hot in San Diego!

Lorielle just might take off with those windmills on her head!

Definitely our "All American Boy!"

4th of July kisses headed your way!
"SMACK!" ... Not quite on target, but that is okay!
Too cute! They love each other soooo much!
At the park! We made it... and notice the shade... "tall trees and a cool breeze" as promised!
Not always the "Happy Camper" that his sister was at this age... but, hey... that is okay. He is a boy after all! (No doubt, as they grow older I am sure it will change!)
Daddy and his lil' man... oh and yes, Daddy's red, white, and blue Jimmie Johnson hat!
"HHHmmm... pretty comfortable!" ... Taking over sister's pink chair... a blue one is on order Logan! Promise!
Lorielle and her red, white, and blue circus animal cookies! MMM'mmm!
Swing'n in the blanket!
Oh what fun...
Yes, more music...
And a dancing she goes!
5-4-3-2-1... ... Daddy's turn for lift off!
After a fun-filled day... wow, talk about being "pooped out"! Mouth wide open and all! Poor little thing!
"Bob, did you hear that?" ... ...
"Hear what?"... ...
"Silence!!!" ... ...
"Silence? When was the last time we "heard" that?" ... ...
"Let's not go home... let's drive around the block for awhile!"
(If it wasn't for the cost of gasoline... I think we might have done just that!)
Saturday night we headed to Pechanga for our last night of fireworks!
A little disagreement caught on film... maybe time to separate the car seats??? Because Logan doesn't like to be in the car AT ALL... he is usually the instigator... yes, at the very young age of 1! Yikes!!!
HHHmmm... I wonder what she is thinking? Maybe it is better left unspoken!
Waiting for the fireworks to begin at Pechanga!
Sunday ... Church!

Once again... special memories made that have been recorded in our hearts forever! Blessed... yes, I am definitely blessed!
